I'm curious about the Nautiloid ship and the first map as mentioned changed compare to EA. Size too or just the layout?

I found a shortcut that took me straight from the (redesigned) room with imps after meeting with Lae'zel to outside the room with Shadowheart, so didn't see any of the deck area at all. I assume it's still there and I just bypassed it by climbing up some icky membrane stuff, but obviously can't evidence that given I didn't see it
