I was hoping for another great RPG along the lines of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and not a simulator for players to live out all of their darkest and depraved sexual and violent fantasies.
There's an awful lot of hyperbole being thrown around in these discussions. This is very much a great game, and there are many different ways to enjoy it that aren't like what you're describing.
