It doesn't even make sense why this wouldn't be the case, if time constrain was an issue they could have released the game the 6th and release 72 hours early for early access players. I just don't get it.
The decision to move the PC release was not made because ot was finished ahed of schedule, bit to put a buffer between it and Starfield.
So everything planned for 2 months now needs to be done in 1, or as much as possible to make it playable.
So not only would 3 days early access decrease the available time further, providing a special EA version for act 1 would also add more work, both for development and administration, which Larian does not have time for.
