After all the gods were cast down to walk the world as mortals Bhaal impregnated countless women whose children would have Bhaal's essence as a means of preparing for his death...but the thing about that is that Bhaal was only to be resurrected AFTER the death of the last Bhaal spawn. Now if The Dark Urge is truly capable of becoming as powerful as a god that can only mean one thing...The Dark Urge cannot be just a Bhaal spawn, but Bhaal himself reincarnated. A Bhaal spawn would not be able to wield the full power of Bhaal. That would explain the seeming amnesia and lack of memory...he probably did not exist and was only manifested into existence recently...presumably after the last of the Bhaal spawn had died.
