I must have an optimistic streak. I've been thinking that the silence means that behind the scenes they're trying to make July 31st happen, but can't make a promise yet.
I certainly hope they don't delay till Aug. 6. Delaying the general release in no way benefits pre-orderers, and at this point there doesn't seem to have been reason for anyone to pay extra for the deluxe edition when they automatically get the upgrade for free until the game releases--or some other date that Larian could announce.
