Evil can be played many ways, as i wrote i think in my post on my intent to play evil, evil is a shade of gray... yes you can go like swen suggested and just kill people or devour them, but that is not in of itself evil. Evil is about acts that seek to multiply harm not for harm sake, or greed, those are lesser acts, true evil is intentionally pretending to be good and setting up events in such manner, that you and only you benefit while destroying your opponents by crossing, double crossing, triple crossing, usually in the form of laws and pacts.
eg: emperor palatine versus vitiate in star wars. Palpatin although he causes a war, by seeking to maximize war and ruin and greed for his own pleasure ultimately only creates a war that lasts about 20 years- he looses more troops, allies and supplies by 10x then what he won.
Vititate, on the other hand, decides to remain concealed, he creates ideology of good and evil, and is elected emperor by two civilizations, this allows him to continuously grow in power from those who die in the war by using a certain artifacts and stealing their knowledge and discoveries, the old republic war ends up lasting more then 1000 years, leading to billions of deaths, and concludes with vititate devouring a planet killing 48? billion people as a culmination of a 1000 year plan to become immortal.
As one can see from the above example, that vitate was not only more of a grand evil, vitiate is written a lot more like a devil from DnD. This is the style of evil that I am hoping that the dark urge ends up being, killing people in a chaotic evil play through is fun, but I am worried that if its going to be heavily featuring evil type 1, that larian put all their efforts into, we will not get a proper option to RP as swen said generally doing evil paths is not worth it. I would not fault larian if they fail to implement a proper evil/ lawful path as to date only 2 games have done this successfully- Swtor/ kotor, and dragon age origins.
