I just hope I can safely ignore the tadpoles without gimping my character(s) too much, as I have absolutely no interest in them. At least the respec isn't totally free and you can't change your race, losing certain dialog with companions if you respec them to a different class is a rather good thing.
Watching the video has greatly increased my desire to have 5E mod to get rid of all that Larian homebrew stuff I'm not even remotely interested in (like the special attacks with weapons).
Those special attacks are now part of the new DnD One but they are tied mostly specifically to fighters - a lot of the stuff in the final game are changes that reflect the updated rules they are working on.
