Oh boy, humans get a whopping +20 carry weight in a game where carry weight is useless.
I believe BG3 does have an encumbrance meter that the game enforces. After a while you will have to drop some stuff. Technically D&D does too but few DMs ever enforce it so you could easily believe that D&D characters have infinite carry capacity.
