On one hand I can't genuinely say I care that much about creating 4 custom character from the get go.

On the other hand, given that is something already possible through fairly convoluted means and it's a popularly requested feature, I can't help but wonder what's preventing Larian from allowing it.
I'm fairly sure it wouldn't be a technically challenging feature.
