I'll quote my post with some thoughts from another thread:

The dump stats for such build will most likely be Dexterity and Constitution. CON because you can start as a barbarian and have as much HP with 8 CON the rogue has with 14. Dexterity, because heavy armor is a thing.

I would dump Int, since only one caster level will be using it. Just pick utility spells for your wizard level so the -1 doesn't affect anything.

As long as Half-Elf has their standard stat option, these would be my suggested stats :

Str/Dex 16/8
you can swap those as desired. You can't rage and cast spells at the same time anyway so STR isn't really required to be viable offensively. Monk will only get you 16 AC though, so STR may be better defensively. On the other hand, Dex saves are far more deadly and common, so if you aren't planning on being on the frontline, it is probably better to go with Dex and a Bow.

Con 10
Int 8
Wis 16
Cha 16

When Barbarian is raging, they are usualy able to sustain themselves quite well ...
This one is for cases when you can be hit outside of rage.

But now i wonder about subclasses ...

Paladin picks on level 1 in BG-3 ... i would probably take Vengeance
Warlock is kinda tricky ... temp. hp from Dark One's Blessing are sweet ... but so is fear on crits from GOO ... probably fear tho, those temp. hp will suck on higher levels.
Sorcerer i would probably pick Storm, in case i need to run off ... wild magic seems interesting, but also dangerous ... i see no benefit from Dragon Blood.
And for Cleric ... most likely Light, bcs that disadvantage to hit is powerfull ... and with no limit per rest, its OP as hells. laugh

Bard, Druid, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Monk, Wizard are boring for this build ... they pick their subclass too late. laugh

The only question that remains is Race ...
And i think i would go with Half Orc, or Dwarf ... they are bit harder to kill.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

Save your spell slots for protection and mobility. You have all the damage you need in your cantrip.

I've been thinking about multiclassing wild magic sorcerer/pact of the archfey warlock for roleplaying reasons, but I haven't even thought about how much damage she could actually deal (I'm new to multiclassing).
I thought that if one source for the wild magic can be being blessed by a powerful fey, it would make sense to contact this fey when you want to learn more about the origins of your powers. And I want to see the warlock-patron interaction.

Obviously you pick a normal class until you hit level 12, then respec. Doing it the other way would get ridiculous, but the Dungeon Dudes actually did make a video about this particular multi class a while back.

lol, I was thinking of doing a Buster from Arrested Development (tv show) playthrough. He's basically this very simple guy that because he's rich, his parents keep putting him in a bunch of different classes, but he never gets good at any of them, he's just moving around from one skill to another.
