Bit of a stretch innit?
Considering that nearly all infos that are revealed lately have been bad, both from gameplay and story point of view and match Larians previous performance its not that much of a stretch.

Larian can create interesting setpieces but seems to be unable to tie them together into a cohesive whole.
Meanwhile everyone that has actually played the game seemingly need a change of underwear.

The game has some issues here and there, some things that I would personally argue could have been done in a better way, some design choices that I can't in all honesty say that I agree with. But there's really not much of a case that it is a "bad game". And while the homebrew detracts a bit from it as a 5E game, it might still be the best game released this year.

The weird multiclass thing isn't great but I'd very much like to see it in action before I believe it. The idea that a sorc 3 / cleric 1 is essentially a sorc 4 / cleric 4 from caster perspective is so completely nuts that I won't quite believe it until I see it. And everything else is minor grievance rather than something actually gamebreaking.
