Yeah, to me it sounds like a lot of fuzz about nothing special. Sure if you are focused on min-maxing this video and channel will be interesting, but for RPG-focused players its the same as in every game. I don't think those items are broken or too important for builds. I guess people who will be respecing for optimal builds will have also items to help them out...
So items might be actually well done by Larian by offering interesting options without being oppressive.
