I just can't stand Avellone's writing style. I find it very pedantic, verbose, and over-the-top. That cleric charcater he wrote for PoE was just soooooo annoying and boring. I have played Ps:T, and it's not like I hated it or anything. It was just okay. The thing I liked the most about it was that it had such a minimum of combat.

Avellone is hit or miss. He has done some incredible world building such as Tyranny and Planescape Torment. Having him come in and just write a character is a misuse of his talent.

Lately he hasn't worked on anything that I have played except for DOS2.
