I know what the reason for the decision was. They never made a secret of it. We've been talking about it for three years at this point. "Too much time and work for something we don't consider too important".
I simply disagree with it, and think they spent a lot of that same time and work on plenty of other things that were far less valuable to me. "Playable Origins", just to name one.

P.S. Dynamic lighting is a thing, by the way.
