The metamagic Twin is broken for those reasons.

According to the rules I can twin Haste, casting two leveled spells in one round, doubling the output of two martials, while concentrating on the 2 spells simultaneously.
I can twin Disintegrate and do 50-100 damage on two targets.

The metamagic twin is broken even with strictly applied D&D rules.

It's weird every time someone attempts to use a balance flaw in the ruleset as justification for adding even more imbalanced stuff on top of it.

It's like arguing that is fine to have four slice of cake at every lunch because even having just one was already unhealthy anyway... And then wondering why you are obese and on the verge of a cardiac collapse two years later.

Those potions of speed don't help matters. Everyone can get two actions. Imagine playing tactician and foes actually use them before focus-firing party members dead. I foresee much raging and many bald patches.

Funny enough, last fight against the fire elemental I didn't use them, 'must save them for a big fight'. Two party members dead. Even had fire resistance and was level 5.

For the wild magic sorcerers, I think this evens out with the risk of triggering a wild magic surge and accidentally setting everyone and everything in close proximity ablaze 😄

THROWING is the main reason of existence for small races, bards, and especially small-raced bards. Also, Barbarians exist in solely to THROW allies.

Given that, I'm surprised we don't have more small race companions - they'd provide more opportunities for throwing! Yay!

It’s worth a try as a way to convince Larian to give us some more smaller race representation! Whatever might work.

Yeah, I picked up the same vibes (Bards are a joke, Halflings are for jokes/throwing, and Barbarians for throwing).

Also, Swen explicitly stating he hates Fighters. I don't know, I just feel it's not the best way to promote your game.

And given that Swen hates Bards, and Adam says they're just a comedy Class, I guess I shouldn't be too hopeful about Larian giving Bard some love, and giving them more than just Songs for their Perform Action.

Given that bards have unique casting animations using musical instruments and dozens of recorded lines for viscous mockery, and don’t think it can be reasonably argued that Larian had withheld any attention from their development.

Oh right, that was a point too: "Fighters are the simple class perfect for starting and learning the game." Like...yes, unfortunately, that is how Fighters were designed in D&D 5e. A lot of people are unhappy with Fighters' (and martials' in general) limited flexibility, boring combat turns, and reduced ability to significantly interact with pillars of the game.

But if you're going to change anything about 5e rules when creating your alleged 5e D&D game Larian, add some options to the Fighter so that they're less simple and boring! Like, this would be one of the few cases where I'd *want* Larian to take inspiration from DOS - Warfare Skills!

True, Larian has certainly poured resources into Bards. If love and attention is all about spending resources(*), then maybe I should I have said "I shouldn't be too hopeful about Larian giving Bard some thought and consideration".

Because Larian has picked one aspect of the Bard, namely the musical aspect, and they've decided that this was the Bard. Jack of all trades, but when it comes to Performance, they are masters of music ... and nothing else.

(This is somewhat similar to how they operated elsewhere. For the unique dialogue options unlocked by your Class, for instance, they've decided that one way to roleplay a Sorcerer was as an arrogant person and ... well that's the Sorcerer.)

* But if resources spent freely means that a project was given lots of love and attention, then I think the cost of the special effects in GoT Seasons 7 and 8 is a sign that Benioff and Weiss gave all their love and attention to those last two seaons.

The main problem is the "cooler fighter" roll is already taken in various flavors by rangers barbs and pallys

You can only change them so much before they stop being the class you payed the license to use

Bards are almost always musicians in ever delectation of them. Sure, I’m D&D your bard can be a mime or a poet, but expecting that level of flexibility in a game that already has unprecedented levels of flexibility against fidelity is not reasonable.
