I'm opening this thread to discuss specifically the content this interview with PC Games.

- Interview (in German).
- Google traduction of said interview.
- The journalist's impressions from the media day (in German).
- Google traduction of the journalist's impressions from the media day.

This source (article, video, etc) has already been linked elsewhere, and some discussion has already taken place about some parts of its content. But I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to start opening one thread per source, to discuss that source and only the content from that source. This, of course, in parallel from all the other threads opened to discuss a subject in particular.

Following the PFH, which included a media day, we've seen a little explosion of coverage, from video game journals and YouTubers. As a result, we've also seen an explosion of discussion taking place here, notably reactions to what we've read or watched. At the moment, when I look at the threads on this General section of the forum, I often feel as if there are so many discussion threads where people just reply to whatever post was made a just before, adding in links to the latest article/video in the process, and the thread title has long ceased to be informative. This is my little attempt to make the forum easier to use. At least for me. Especially when I think "oh yeah, I've seen this point made/discussed, and this was ... in what thread again ?".

Summary of what is discussed in this article.

As of right now and presently, I'm going to admit that I can't be bothered listing the information (new or not) contained in this article. If somebody wants to give this a first go, you're welcome. Otherwise, I may start filling this part later.

One thing I read in that interview was Swen saying, about the Early Access, "The players were very vocal, so we had a lot of discussions with them".

Did I miss something big during EA ?!

I know I have been following BG3 on and off, sometimes being off for a few months.

Also, can someone who speaks German tell me if that sounds like a correct translation. And if "Diskussionen" has a broader meaning in German than "discussions" has in English.

Because, as it stands, this statement sounds like a clear misrepresentation of the Early Access communication I have seen.

the translation to English is terrible but the interview is good

He may have been speaking very figuratively. The "discussion" may have been

EA players make comments
Larian release a new patch
Players make comments

Or he's personally too far removed from all that that he assumes others were doing it

swen is a PR guy.. alot of discussions with EA players seems PR talk at best. otherwise i value those EA players that come forth and i'm sure an EA player and hasn't get approached in any way.
