I do really wonder what the balance of races is going to end up looking like. Do we think they're going to change much, between here and launch? Obviously they COULD, but as far as I know we don't have much information on what they're working on, per se. Tightening up balance wouldn't be a bad idea, in truth. I will admit I hope dragonborn are slightly better than they are at present, because aesthetically they are 100% my jam. I've played lizardfolk and such off and on throughout the years, probably starting with Iksar back in EverQuest, and I'm excited for Larian's rendition. It takes a bit of wind out of the sails when they seem to be so lackluster racial ability wise, though.
I think any major rebalance will come in 3~6 months in the form of an update. They'll release pretty close to what they've shown, they'll take the temperature of player and media reaction, and tweak accordingly. Some people will be fussed at stuff that gets nerfed, some people will rankle at stuff that gets a boost, and some people will praise the rebalance. A story as old as time.
