When it comes to theme, Spore druid is more into plants and poisons and the creepy side of nature. Whilst mechanically interesting it doesn't fit the weather theme as much. If you want to go all weather, then perhaps a Storm Sorcerer? That way you can actually pick just the wind and lighting and frost things.... and hardly anything else, if at all. It's been a while, but I think that Sorc can actually modify his spells into that damage type as well. The Sorc's Metamagic makes him quite fun to play, I suspect. Of course, eventually you run into some enemy that's flat out immune to the things you do, and you're sitting in the corner, waiting it out.

Not sure if changing damage type is just the numbers thing, or if it actually shows visually too. In wrath of the righteous - you'd see a regular, orange flaming fireball exploding for 6D6 Frost damage. I was thoroughly disappointed

Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

There is a metamagic that allows sorcerers to change the damage type of spells in Tasha's, but so far as I know that is not in BG3.
