Baldur's Gate takes place in the (current) most prominent setting for D&D, Forgotten Realms. But there's many other settings that aren't present in the land of Faerun, and many have had great games made in them.
I left out settings that are just "like Forgotten Realms but", though feel free to comment what setting you'd like to see Larian make a game in.

Spelljammer fits best as a continuation of this story with the mindflayers, Ravenloft would probably be the coolest!

Voted planescape but would take ravenloft, spelljammer, or planescape all the same. All sound pretty good, except I think there’s enough Harry Potter like stuff out there so no Strixhaven.

I don't have much hope of WotC returning to that anytime soon, unfortunately. And Toril is basically the same genre as Faerun.

I want anything that can be used as DLC for Baldur's Gate III. :P
I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are!

Planescape and Spelljammer are the only ones where Larian style would fit.

The Sims as Larian seem more interesting in things like piercings and hair colour than D&D or any sort of tactical combat game.

I voted Spelljammer, because I love Spelljammer, but I'd like to submit Theros for consideration. It's a colourful, very high-fantasy setting that is vaguely Greek mythology themed. I fell in love with the Theros sourcebook when it came out and I still think it's a hidden gem. Given Larian's tendencies, i think it would fit nicely.

Planescape as it would fit Larian's style.
As much as I love 3.x Ravenloft, I absolutely hate what 5E did to the setting.

I want anything that can be used as DLC for Baldur's Gate III. :P Since all the settings technically exist in the same reality, that could be any of them. But Spelljammer and Planescape would be the most likely settings for an expansion, if an expansion does go to a different setting (also Ravenloft if my theory about the Dark Urge is right) You Left Out The First Setting That D&D was Created in GREYHAWK That woul be my Pick!!! Lets go Back to the Roots of D&D.... Yeah though to do that setting right, it would just be a dungeon crawler with bizarre pop culture references.

If we are including crossover settings like Strixhaven, then I'd vote Theros as it us in MOoT whuch is a version of Theros in the D&D multiverse, not the blind eternities universe if mtg. (with out any of that March of the Machine setting ruining garbage).

I'd love a Ravenloft game but I don't think Larian is the right developer for (my idea) of it. I'd want a ravenloft game to be creepy, spooky, and more serious.
As others have said, Planescape and Spelljammer seem to be ideal settings for Larian.

As I mentioned in another thread, Faerun has plenty to offer! Let's just leave the Sword Coast. Let's visit Calimshan, Halruua, Mulhorand, Zakhara or Lantan. There's a plethora of exciting places to visit, no need to go to another setting when Faerun is so criminally under-explored.
Also Planescape.

You forgot the great setting of Mystara, a setting which startet in basic D&D, preceding even Greyhawk.
But if that setting or my other favorite setting (Ravnica) isn't in then.. Planescape.
I think Planescape makes the most sense, since I think it fits the tone of Larian. Dark but still amusing and weird and over the top.

I feel like Planescape would really give Larian’s game style a chance to shine: -Humor -Otherworldliness -Diverse Origin potential -Weird exploration -Mixing and matching capabilities from across the planes.

I think Spelljammer or Planescape would be the best for Larian. Honestly they could just combine the two probably, if my understanding of the settings is right. I think Larian's tendency towards over the top would really thrive in a planes-hopping adventure where they could explore all kinds of wild and crazy ideas and settings. It would be perfectly suited to their sensibilities.

I see a lot of people saying this, but honestly I don't know what you all mean by it. Yes they have a good amount of humor in their games, but the entire quest with the hag is quintessential gothic horror and gets very disturbing, especially when you go into her lair. I think they'd do Ravenloft justice. Also, Ravenloft isn't completely devoid of humor.

Eberron, you get a new class (Artificer), 4 new races (Kalashtar, Shifters/Half-Werewolves, Changelings and Warforged) plus playable versions of Goblins, Bugbears, Hobgoblins, Orcs.
personally would love if Oriental Adventures was added as a DLC so we can have playable Vanaras/Monkeyfolk but I doubt WOTC would allow it, I get that the name might be changed to something else.
