Okay folks, I feel that this thread didn't start off with the sort of considered criticism that was likely to lead to high quality debate on this topic, so this hasn't been nearly the car crash it could have been. Thank you!
However, it does sound like we're just going over much the same points as we have already, which I'm not sure this new contribution to the debate deserved. I'd suggest we get off the merry-go-round.
Oh, and I'm going to ask that we simply don't go there with the comparisons between the possible appearance of bestiality and the possible appearance of paedophilia. Not because I think it's an invalid thought experiment, exactly, but because sexual abuse of children is such an awful and quite rightly a deeply emotive subject that I don't think it is at all reasonable to ask anyone to have (or even read) the kind of calm and dispassionate discussion that would be needed to draw any conclusions from the proposed analogy, particularly when it might touch on real life traumas for some readers. I draw few lines on these forums as long as debate is constructive and respectful, but I'm going to do that here. It's just not an okay subject for what is meant to be a fun place to discuss games, at least when it's only brought up for purposes of comparison rather than because of any depiction of it in the game.
