Or give us the option to turn it on or off in the graphics settings. The reason I bought BG3 was because I was told it was a lot like DOS2, similar fighting mechanics, same gaming engine ect. In the beginning i played it being very pleased with the similarities, that is until I fought a group of goblins outside the druid settlement, walked into the settlement, talked to some people, walked back outside and all the goblin bodies were gone. I know stuff like this doesn't matter to a lot of people but I also know for others like myself it really ruins the immersion. I liked how in DOS2 I could always be reminded of past battles that took place in certain areas because the creatures I had slain a while back were still there.
BG3 has a very similar game design to DOS2 so why the change? If It's a performance concern than would it really be that difficult to give players the option to turn persistent corpses on or off in settings so we can decide whether or not we want to take the performance risk?
Hoping for support of this suggestion!
