But then why do the pre-programmed corpses we come across in game not disappear? Why would it just be those we kill? Immersion wise that makes no sense. To make it the most accurate the corpses would decompose or get buried by AI, but that's asking for to much. It just comes down to what the player prefers in the end, and I don't see what harm there would be in making a settings option so players can choose corpse persistence to be like it was in DOS2 if they want, I'd imagine it wouldn't be that difficult to implement the option for a coder. I really doubt Larian is going to care to make such an option available but I would like the game more if they did. DOS2 was unique in the way it kept the slain foes the player took down around for good, I don't know why they had to go and change it in BG3 being they're such similar games. If it was for performance concerns? Than make a setting for players who have the hardware to handle it!
