The demo is based on pre-release code, so some options are not available. There is suppose to be an updated demo released at some point (according to the
FAQ), but I don't think I'd hold my breath waiting for it.
Does your video card itself have a gamma adjustment? Right click on the Desktop, select properties, then the Settings tab, then click on the Advanced button and poke around.
