I bought Baldur's Gate 3 in early access, for PC (Steam), but over that time I bought an Xbox Series X (which has much superior hardware than my PC). My PC barely runs the game at minimum specs these days. For this reason I would like to know if it is possible to request a game account switch (from Steam to Xbox Series X) once the game is released for Xbox Series X, please,so that I can get more out of this excellent game without any performance issues and make the most of it.

I look forward to your understanding and help in this matter. And thank you in advance.

I doubt this is possible, but if you want a definitive answer from Larian I’d recommend contacting their support team at https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3#modal.

It has nothing to do with Larian... Steam will not allow it but that's who it's up to and your real choice is it worth buying the game on Xbox

I'd wait to see if Xbox can even run it

Btw, if you have a decent internet connection, you could give GeForce Now a try, which I believe you can use for BG3 if you have a Steam key. I think the basic version is free, though quality is restricted and you can only play for an hour at a time. But still, you could at least see if it seems better than your old PC and if it's worth paying for a monthly subscription which isn't cheap but certainly costs less than buying a new gaming rig!

OP this is a solid option, and the payed options aren't terribly expensive, and they really deliver.
