I also feel strongly about the new attribute systems being an option and chatter around everywhere is that everyone else feels the same way.
A lot of people just don't like a system where your racial choice doesn't matter in regards to your class choices and doesn't mesh with the lore very well. It's far more interesting for a lot of people to play an underdog character, like a Gnome Barbarian or a Half-Orc Wizard.
Also the Variant Human thing is a huge deal for a lot of the community. We will have to see on release but I am betting if Larian doesn't do it - it will probably be the first Mod on the table.
