I have buried that game and have no expectations it will come out now. Such a disappointment. Paradox is really one of the worst offenders when it comes to creating bad video games.

Rag is still holding out hope. Poor Rag....

I miss Troika, they did good work.

I love Temple of Elemental Evil, but it wouldn't have been much without the Circle of Eight mod fixes to make it work properly. The release was a buggy mess that was next to impossible to play.

True, very very true. Circle of Eight are heroes in my book. However, the backbone of a great game was in Temple of Elemental Evil and Troika did some amazing work - enough so that a dedicated group of Crazy D&D modders fixed the problems AND built new modules for it because they saw what Troika was trying to do.

I just think they ran out of resources and had to ship something. They had a good design philosophy. I mean look at the games they made.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura 2001
The Temple of Elemental Evil 2003
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2004

All solid hits, and decades later are still considered Classics. I played ToEE and Bloodlines again just this last year. Both were amazing!
