Since there was Barbarian and Bard powers showed within single brain UI in Fextralife video ...
And since we have now multiclass and its not really easy to determine wich class is our main one in certain cases ...

I would be willing to bet that there will be no power tied to our class in final release.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

I'm undecided, if full caster mode with Lore and Tome or going melee with Swords/Blade.
But I'll get Devils Sight for my little girl.

Devil's Sight would pair nicely with the Illithid power related to darkness. Not sure if that will still be Rogue only in final release.
I won't use the Illithid power at all. Maybe in another playthrough ( I joked in another thread, that I might play Astarion for that since he likes his little guest so much and I don't like him, so wouldn't care, if he dies in the ebd, because of putting so much tadpoles into his head).

Fair enough, I wouldn't make a character who'd signed a pact with some demigod patron, but that's just me. Tapping Illithid powers seems very similar. Power now, price later.
I actually took my backstory from my pen & paper feylock and there the patron is benevolant. I mean, yes, it could turn out, that AUntie Ethel is my patron, but I think, it will stay more vague.

I am going Bard. The companions themselves seem to be pretty heavy hitters and are pretty cool. So I think I am okay handling the chat and lockpicking while tossing Bardic Inspirations so they don't miss and some heals if they get knocked out.

Still debating if I wanna play a bow shooting Bard or go Lore. I love the idea of the Bard shooting the bow, but with access to Shatter and Dissonant Whispers, would I ever actually shoot the Bow even if I could? Dissonant is a downright nasty spell that does a lot of damage.

One thing I noticed in the early access...Long rest is like super easy to do and you can basically do it all the time and there doesn't seem to be any penalty to do it. It really seems like you only have to resource manage 1 encounter at a time, as opposed to need to have those charges make it through 3 or 4 hard encounters. If resource management mattered more, that would lean to more bow shooting

Caster Skill monkey with all skills except Int (if they don’t fix Lore Bards).

Str 8
Dex 16
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 10
Cha 16

Wood Elf
• Perception
• Stealth
Folk Hero
• Animal Handling
• Survival
Rogue 1
• Acrobatics
• Athletics
• Insight
• Performance*
Warlock 2
• Deception
• Persuasion
Lore Bard 3
• Medicine
• Arcana*
• Intimidation
• Sleight of Hand*

If they fix Lore Bards, I’d swap the order of Sleight of Hand and Performance and probably get Investigation instead of Arcana.

Note: You can still Max out Cha whether you go bard or warlock for the other 6 levels so just make the choice that is more fun for you. Note 2: You can flip Dex and Con if you are worried about losing concentration.

Sleight of Hand very useful for...inventory expansion. I lean towards spell casting as a preference. My two suggestions:

I want the same for my first char, thats why I want to be a single class lore bard.
Bards are great skill monkeys and have good control spells, take spells from other classes for damage.
Charlatan background for deception + sleigh of hand

With the old race system I wanted a drow so I can start dex+cha 16 and have superior darkvision.
Now I have to look what exactly each race gets. Skill profiencies would be most useful.
