Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Need Help

I'm new here and hae just started playing the game. I noticed someone posted about using chests to store stuff. This may be stupid, but I can't figure out how to put stuff in the chests. I brought one back to the house I have set up, but cannot get anything to go inside. I have tried to click and drag, but doesn't work. COuld someone please let me know how to do this. I have items laying all over the floor and need to clean up.

open the chest so you get an inventory box, and drag stuff into the box.
