You'll be missed, Niara. I've really appreciated your insight and passion for D&D over the years and I'm obviously far from alone.
I'm sorry that the game isn't what you wanted, but as others have said you shouldn't think your input was wasted. That it has helped make a better game for others, but not one you yourself yet feel ready to enjoy, must be a bit of a bitter pill to swallow, but hopefully it will give you some consolation in the longer run. And I still live in hope that once you've had chance to grieve for the game you thought and hoped it might be, you'll be able to return to it at some point and enjoy it for the game it is.
I do hope we'll see you here again one day, but in the meantime all the best and thank you again.
(PS: I shouldn't really need to say this, but apparently I do: anyone who doesn't know Niara or who wants to debate the merits of the game or the EA process rather than bid her all the best really should just give this thread a swerve.)
