I get it man, but you are asking for a button to click in way to disable a second button. It feels more like a nuclear code lunch control than a game option. I mean, it doesn't hurt anybody to have it, but looks pretty pointless.
Actually I would argue it's quite common. It's like a "don't show anymore" button, because certain people don't want to see certain things repeatedly. So the real problem is that you don't understand why I would be bothered by sth purely optional, and that is fine. But to know that though this seems pointless to you, it definitely is not pointless to many of us.
