Maybe try looking at the positives of the game …there are very few perfect interpretations of d&d games and this game has so much to love about it.
Many of the so called horrendous deviations from the rule set shouldn’t in reality ruin the game unless you allow yourself to make it a reality.
Treat it as the sandbox with its own particular set of d&d rules that it is and just enjoy it.
