Of course I completely disagree with the OP's claim. I'm an old-school hardcore roleplaying-centered cRPG fan, a D&D fan since the early-90s, and a passionate fan of both the BG video game franchise and the Forgotten Realms setting having read almost every single novel written in that setting. And I very firmly don't see Larian as having made this game for me, and sometimes even wonder if Larian is intentionally looking to stick their finger in my eye. So no, claiming this game has been made for everyone is clearly disingenuous.

People throw around the word disingenuous so often. It doesn’t mean incorrect. You are accusing the OP of lying; saying something that they know to be untrue.

In the initial thread that this one is responding to, that OP was gatekeeping the game; trying to draw distinctions between legitimate fans and new “casuals” whom they saw as ruining the game for legitimate fans by Larian catering to them. That thread’s title was “who is this game for?”

This thread is rejecting the notion that the game should be subject to gatekeeping by saying anybody who wants to play it is welcome to do so, and Larian trying to reach new audiences is a good thing. It’s not saying everybody needs to like the game and that it is actually designed to appeal to everybody in the world.

But its alright we are at the end of the journey and things are getting busy with an imminent release.
I bought the game bit it isn't really for me...I tried to like the companions, I could not. And so many little annoying things brings it down for me.
The only hope now are MODS. With the right ones the game could potentially be amazing.

It just reminded me of the bowl of goat's milk that old Winthrop used to put outside his door every evening for the dust demons. He said the dust demons could never resist goat's milk, and that they would always drink themselves into a stupor and then be too tired to enter his room..

Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

Tuco isn’t Judge Dredd. I like Judge Dredd.

It’s fine to be blunt, candid, and put your opinions out on front street, but only if you balance those opinions with a tone of respect and restraint. If you can’t express yourself without being abrasive and bitterly sarcastic, you deserve a stay in the time out corner.

But that’s way off topic, so it’s the last thing I’ll say about that guy.

Okay folks, I appreciate the support, but let's all now draw a line under this and not discuss other forum members publicly.

Remember, they can still see even if they can't reply.

Cheers!
