They were eaten by the GAWBLINS! - at the Goblin camp their remains are on the grill or in the pot.
Their marbled, bordering on fatty meat is a delicacy!

Yep, this happened, notice that our Halfling Bard is the only one that's missing,

I love you for making this thread, since I'm still mad, they scratched Helia, the halfling bard. But there is a thread about companion diversity, where this topic is discussed too.

Aren’t small races easier to push/throw? Maybe Larian decided to avoid those altogether.

That's something I'd expect Larian to see as a positive reason to include them! They always seem to love the idea of throwing living beings around or using them as weapons.

Good question.

If Astarion was a gnome, I wouldn't hate him so much.

Karlach would easily work as a Dwarf.

I think he meant that since they're easily throwable, that's what Larian did...

It's even more painfully obvious when you see two Druids as companions. But hey, bear seks..

those 2 are perfect as the races they're, Gale however would fit better as a gnome, specifically a rock gnome, they guy is annoying and has a know-it-all personality would be in character for a gnome, plus there's his drug addiction, Gale is that coke your snorting, no it's "MAGICAL ARTIFACTS".

Halsin can be respeced into bard, since Jaheira been a druid longer, we don't need a redundant companion where we get 2 of every class.

He also could be a dwarf - his physique would fit it better anyway. It’s would be odd for bard to be grove’s archdruid, but perhaps he could have faked his interview with sheer charisma. That would explain why he was so weak as to be captured by goblins and is low level enough to join our party hehe. Wouldn’t explain bear sex, but I don’t think anything ever will.

It's a bit sad that Halsin has now become a meme for me lol. I'll never be able to take him seriously, and will probably just pass on him now as a companion.

Technically the Dark Urge is a Gnome, Halfling, Dwarf....(but really he is a white dragonborn)

Maybe there are more companions we don't know about.
