Not every DnD fan is obsessed about combat, actually most of DnD fans just want to RP and do fun stuff, not play fantasy chess with overcomplicated rules.
Well said! Especially in games I replay over and over, the combat quickly becomes an annoying chore that has to be taken care of for the story to progress
