I know this isn't exactly the place to ask, but since game devs usually have a degree of oversight as to Steam forum moderations I didn't really know where better to turn.
The Steam forums have been over run with "raids" and doxxing attempts lately from people claiming they want the game deplatformed for being "woke" and its gotten to a point where people can't even discuss normal game topics without the conversation being stopped by someone who wants to yell offensive statements at everyone. It's well beyond normal forum shenanigans, apparently there's a youtuber and an organized discord who think they can "get the game banned from Steam" over politics.
Steam is the largest platform for PC gaming on the market so its somewhat natural that a lot of people searching for information on the game would end up there first, but if you look at the forums the current front page is almost entirely troll posts from the same small group of people who seem to be there at all hours of the day threatening people.
We just want a place to talk about the game and share build ideas, this whole thing has devolved into everyone being attacked constantly for their sexual or gender identities and their perceived "wokeness" and no amount of Steam reports seems to stymie the flow of racial/homiphobic slurs, troll posts, threats of violence, etc cetera.
Is there any way a community manager with Larian could exercise their Dev rights to Steams forums and maybe help us out? We just want to talk about the game, not be trolled and harassed for our identities in every thread.
