Viconia could be a more introspective disciple of Shar, offering succor of sorts to those driders. Becoming a drider is supposed to be highly traumatic, it wouldn't be unlikely that Sharrans entice the odd broken few.
D&D deities have several aspects to them, represented by domains. Maybe Viconia is more about clarity from loss or comfort in anonymity than base evilness.
