Yep, I get that pov and it's why I think things like this should be optional. It's like how some people prefer having a full party and some people prefer only traveling with one additional companion or even playing with no companions at all - it's nice to have options so that people can play to what's most fun for them.
You know I thought about it and I have this friend who is an alcoholic, and the more he plays the drunker he gets, and the drunker he gets the more chaotic his playstyle becomes.
Like he was playing a Druid - and we got to the Shattered sanctum where Halsin is imprisoned and he decided to join the Goblins in throwing rocks at the bear - and I was really shocked at his decision. We weren't even roleplaying or anything but the idea of a Druid throwing rocks at a caged bear was so unbelievably offensive to me that I just started making fun of him for it. Just the worst Druid ever.
To this day I still ask him if he has "thrown rocks at any bears lately."
Anyway, I think having an AI take over for him would be great.
