There's been a lot of speculation regarding continuity between the games. It was actually what brought this fellow to the forum. I think we should be prepared for an amalgam of all the possible choices into a somewhat coherent backstory for BG3. I suspect they'll try to avoid going into great detail, as hard to conceive as that might be with Jaheira and Minsc running around.
