This was made by Ina of the WolfheartFPS Direwolves. They didn't post it so I thought I would provide it for you guys.

The Acts are denoted by color.
Yellow Act 1
Green Act 2
Red Act 3

I have a big suspicion that act 3 will be larger than this map shows. Avernus anyone?

I think there is few misstakes ...

12. seems wrong.
That thing in the middle looks like statue of Nightsong.
Also why would Moonrise Tower be underground? O_o
Personaly i dare to presume that Ketheric Stronghold (16.) = Moonrise.

18. is twice there.
Illithind Collony and Friendly Arms Inn.
To be perfectly honest i have small problems with those places aswell.
For one, i believe that Harpers camp = Friendly Arms Inn ... can be wrong ofc, but i believe i have heared it somewhere.
And that Illithid Collony ... i mean, it would make sense there will be some ... and we have seen something that resembles the place in PFH cinematic trailer ... but here probably just bad placement on map bugs me.

22. Baldur's Gate
Maybe im missing something here, since im not too familiar with the city ... but isnt the whole Act III. Baldur's Gate? O_o

24.
I would be willing to bet is undercity sewers or something simmilar ... i believe it was said in last PFH, that we will be traveling even down there.

---

But besides that ... interesting work.
Some backstory would be helpfull tho, did they just guess the places, or what was their source?

Yeah, other people have mentioned, you are welcome to adjust the map.

Wait so BG3 compared to BG2 now has half the companions, half the classes/kits, half the spells, half the items, half the immersion and now...half the acts???

It just reminded me of the bowl of goat's milk that old Winthrop used to put outside his door every evening for the dust demons. He said the dust demons could never resist goat's milk, and that they would always drink themselves into a stupor and then be too tired to enter his room..

This is outright one of the worst takes I've yet seen. Let's start with the obvious, what do you mean by "half the spells"? The final game will have over 600 spells and I am pretty sure BG2 didn't have over 1200. Next one, the number of acts is irrelevant and artificial...acts can be divided into small chapters of less than five hours each in which case BG3 would have at least 30, or into 200 hour acts in which case BG3 would have one. BG3 if you explore everything and so as much as is possible in one playthrough will be at least 150 hours though more reasonably well over 200 as the average time to complete the early access content was 70 hours and in the final game act 1 will ~33% larger and the act will account for less than a quarter of the game. Next, how do you know how many items the final game will have? Do you assume that the items datamined from early access are all there is? Horrible take. And for the companions it's not about quantity but about quality...all companions have in BG3 have very expansive stories far larger than anything BG2 companions had.

A bit concerned that the ap is such a linear progression. Looks like there's not going to be much reason to backtrack, nothing new to unlock in old areas once you advance, maybe even no leaving Baldur's Gate once you arrive? I don't know what to make of that.

Illithid Colony is nr 13, not 18. That being said, just like Act 1 I doubt these numbers mean much. In act 1 you could pick and choose to some extent where you wanted to explore first. Granted, some places would be more difficult than others at lvl 3-4.

As to the OP post/picture. Im really curious about Underdark vs overland. I mean can one go underdark/Grymforge, then choose mountain pass Gith Creche before taking elevator? How about after elevator, or would Gith Creche be locked off at that point? What about mountain pass, then underdark etc.

Or does one have to choose?
