After posting multiple times about the overload on the Steam/GOG Servers, warning you about what was going to happen, you did nothing.
I've told you so!

The luckiest of us players are downloading at 100kbps. Most of us can't even connect to steam, so much traffic is going on.
How many bad experiences do Game Companies have to go through, until they learn their mistakes?
Was it so hard to try to mitigate the server overload? Was It?!
Just look at the steam ratings for the game going down, just because they can't play it on launch!

They got bored while waiting for the download to finish, so they traveled back in time.
Basically, they do not know if everyone got their game.. =P

Still it would be good idea to allow for preloading. At least then we could download the game with reasonable speed and maybe even check out the character creator on the August 3rd instead of August 4th...

Well at least they gained +2 to their patience skill so it was a win. Now they are able to handle the same situation better.

I'm hoping that GOG being a less popular platform than steam will thus have less or even no issues. And I'll keep quietly laughing to myself as I always do while the steam fanbois/supremacists rage.

Though almost just as likely I'll be sitting on the webpage hitting F5 waiting for a "just released" announcement.

Enabling preloading is just a switch of a button on Steam for Larian. It would be weird for it not being added.

This is a thin veil to hide that the TC is buttmad that the time the game releases in their time zone is more inconvenient than they would have personally preferred, even though it's a global release.

They must be bored.

Hopefully that means that all will be resolved for BG3 launch.

Pretty sure that's why those chose 10 A.M. Pacific time. Steam will have a full crew to work out any technical issues more quickly since this is a highly anticipated game.

Yup, better that there are issues now than in a couple of weeks. It's fully possible for lightning to strike twice of course, but it is less likely.
