This (lack of a) feature, combined with the annoying quirks of the dialogue system for multiplayer, might be a deal-breaker for me. I might hold off on seriously playing (maybe just multiplayer) until a mod is released that improves the BG3 dialogue experience.

Over the course of 100+ hours, I don't want to be constantly annoyed by having the worst or second-worst character chosen for dialogue while the rest of the party members just stand there silently in the background. D&D is a party-based system where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts; it's disappointing that Larian didn't think this was high enough of a priority to implement.
