The whole setting felt too devoted to the novels, as if there wasn't much room left for players. Whereas Forgotten Realms felt like more of an open world with vast expanses to explore and adventure throughout.

The Annotated Chronicles come to life would satisfy a lot of bad cartoon feelings. smile If they were to read the novels and bring those words to a game screen, it could really be an immensely challenging setting full of conflict, romance, strife, despair and discovery. The characters built by Weiss and Hickman are destined for much more than pages of a book. They simply did it too well. With LArians own writing and character development approaches we would have one hell of a time side by side the Heroes. All the novels under Dragonlance create one hell of a world that is in my opinion a great next step from FR. The towers of sorcery, wayreth forest, the elven lands, Minotaurs, Solamnia, Solace....and on and on I can go.

As for gameplay in the setting, drop the flying dragon random encounters and we're good.
