Honest question, why do you think that? I mean, of course it would divert from Steam then, but Swen quite clearly said, they'd have preferred an earlier release time, but Steam wouldn't let them due to wanting manpower at time of release.
GoG has their people in Poland, so they can have their manpower for release ready at [earlier time]™.

That's why I think there's at least an however small possibility.

I imagine that's on a case by case basis whether or not there's a contract involved and we just don't know but-

Punishing customers for getting it on one platform vs another isn't a good look.

The ONLY thing we know is that when asked Swen definitely said the release time was 10:00 A.M. Pacific time, he didn't say only for Steam, just generally. I'd like to think that if there WAS a difference between the GOG and Steam release times, he would have said so when asked about it.
