Easiest would be to either start as an Oathbreaker or/and break it early, by killing the dying (or also possibly sleeping - in the Console chamber) Thralls without prompt. You can do it and AFAIK there's no bad karma about it.
Hiding the subclass exclusively is kinda meh. And quite random, as far as I've gathered - it is easier to break it reliably without thinking than beelining for it.
So you either should start as one or become one, with the earliest trigger on the nautilus.
