Granted, we haven't played the plot all the way through, but leaving the level cap at 12 feels like they have an expansion in mind, and DnD has so many more races and subclasses that can be used. There's a lot to sell. Now, maybe Larian and WotC are just keeping mum about it until the release profits are in, but I find it surprising that they aren't already developing a DLC tail for BG3. Even if it's not Larian's typical Modus Operandi to do so, it makes sense from a business perspective, especially WotC's.
