The humor was mostly not funny. Sure, thete was some exceptions.
The barbarian having a 'shorty' fir her SO reeked off fetish from both sides not actual relationship.
They had black elves- not drow- which is insulting to FR lore all to appease so called progressives. It made no sense. This isn't me being racist as despite my criticism above, I has no issue really with the black female barbarian. Largely because of the actress.
They did Neverwinter a disservice. It felt like a blind fake fantasy city, not Neverwinter. I surely hope bg3 dies better with its city thiugh I worry the city is held back to the end.
Chris Pine's character was Chris Pine pretending to be a bard. He's too good if an actor.
The magic was not magical. The Red Wizards were treated laughably. Not intimidating in any way. Never fir a second thought she was a threat. The only magic in the movie that looked really good was the shape changing.
Instead of being set in a fantasy world where the people who live there would live thete it felt like a mockery of what someone who dislikes dnd/fantasy thinks dnd is like.
Other stuff annoyed me as well, but I want be bothered as lithe film has already wasted enough time. I really hope thry dint maje a sequel. The last dnd filmmdud that too despite failing.
There would good parts, but not enough to justify the hype. I expect more espicially with the hype and reviews it got.
4/10.
