At this point, we don't know how things will play out in the full game as we only have early access and have been told that there will be many changes to that come 3 August.
Larian have said that trust is one of the themes of the game, so hopefully that will play out in interesting ways, and presumably how much our companions approve of us will play into that in some way, but beyond that we need to wait and see.
