Warlock or sorcerer for sure, probably halfling i like them hobbitses... Also drow or elf are abominations ((Anything pointy ear)) I would decimate every elf or druid if i could, them treehuggers

Question: For a Cleric of Ilmater, which would be better? Life or Light?

Life, imo, what can be more Ilmater-esque than healing the wounded?

Definitely going to be a Wild Magic Sorcerer. Will decide on the race when the full game comes out.

If you go by the PHB, Life is the only domain listed for Ilmater.

More and more im sure i will start as Dwarf - Devotion Paladin ...
And more and more i realize that in matter of my party, im screwed.

Since i would like to take Karlach, Wyll and Gale ... but having two casters and no Dex-focused character sounds like recipe for disaster.

Maybe if i multiclass Wyll into Warl-ogue?

Yeah the lack of the archer for the party seems to be the biggest party hole this game.

Astarion can kind of do it but even then he's pushed more towards melee.

I think ming going to make lae'zel a dex fighter.

First character will be a Female High Half Elf; 2 levels Paladin (Oath of the Ancients) and 10 levels Forge Cleric worshipper of Selune.

Well the main problem with Astarion for me will be that my Paladin will most certainly NOT tolerate undead in party ... or camp as the matter of fact. :-/

I agree that lack of Dex-based followers is a problem ...
But its even worse that the only one we have at our disposal is ... well, this. :-/

Well archliches are a thing, a paladin doesn't necessarily have to kill all undead, and undead arnt nessicarily all evil.

The biggest issue is Astarion leans into the melee biting vampire thing

I didnt even said that my paladin have to kill him ...

What i said, and what is important is that he will not tolerate him in his camp.
And i will not compromise my character just so i can drag with myself a character who is pissing me off anyway.

Well one way you could make it work is having your characte view keeping Astarion around as basically being his jailor, keeping him on a short leash and making him useful so he doesn't harm anyone else. If they're not going to kill Astarion, that's a reason they would keep him.

Hes also a gateway to killing a greater vampire.

Custom Character with no pre-designed story.

Race: Human or Half-Drow
Class: currently struggling to choose between:

- Gloomstalker/Assassin/Fighter

- Shadow Monk/Gloomstalker

Custom Human or Half Elf Paladin depending on both the character customization and racials. Leaning half elf. I'll decide on release.

My 1st character will be my version of Yoda..adapted to BG3's plot and forgotten realms.

A Deep Gnome who was trained as warrior in order to escape slavery in underdark..but who never felt 100% in peace with that path.

After traveling with Gale for a while, he notices some special talent for magic, and enough intelligence to learn. As a token of gratitude, he will help Gale with his own quest.

Besides, with other companions better able to handle melee, during Act 1 he will focus on his new Wizard path.

(Before, I was going to try a Tiefling, but Karlach seems cool enough)
