They are most likely already knee deep into making day one guides and videos and so on.

I just found a youtuber im finding funny with bg3 content while i wait

3 days left, got an email of larian saying mostly stuff we already know

Are these guys contractly obliged to review the game or can they just play and say nothing?

Just had a thought... with ai like this its gonna be fairly easy for modders to make quests with voice acting

That's actually a huge concern for professional voice actors. Their voices, ie livelihood, are being used without paying them a red cent.

Regulation will be coming, but it'll take a while.

Good lord, we're seriously discussing AI regulation. The future is now eh?

For me, now just before the release, no more streamers, no more videos, no more best-of-this-guides and only very careful reading in this forum. I'm not interested to read from the advanced knowledge of others! I do not want to see spoilers!

So now I return to my cave and wait for the release of the game. smile

They know what will happen when everyone tries to download 150 GB all on the same day.

Assume yes, they haven't mentioned really anything about creating a custom party that would show otherwise.

That's like a buggy whip manufacturer complaining in 1900 that autos would take away his livelihood. True, but the alternative is what, to put artificial brakes on technology? And if the voices are completely synthetic, then no one's voice is being used.

I get where you’re coming from, but i think a bigger anxiety is specific voice actor’s work being appropriated without paying the VA. Or stealing an actors face and superimposing it with deepfakes.

Or training an AI on a specific authors writing style to replicate their work.

We clearly have very different views on the notion of intellectual property.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

Pretty much! AI will eventually obsolete all of us. Voice actors and artists are just the first in line. I for one welcome this development, the only thing we need to do is ensure that people are still taken care of even if they don't have a specific trade in life.

lol, as if AI will be used to help the less fortunate. Corporations will ensure that it helps them and only them. Sure, the needy might get 'some' benefit, but it's going to be overwhelmingly used to stomp harder on the lower class.

Wealth disparity has nothing to do with AI, in case you're barking up that tree.
