If you hold 5e rules as gospel for some reason then yes bg3 will be slightly diffrent.
But the rules are an imperfect guide for play a game. Not a holy document. And most player ignore quite a few of them.
How many dms religiously enforce encumbrance or tell someone "no you can't eldrich blast that wagon wheel the spell says creature not creature or object"
